2022 Walk to End Colon Cancer

Our team walked in honor of Katie Marie Centorbi. In February of 2022, Katie fell ill with extreme abdominal pain. After multiple hospitalizations and doctor appointments, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendiceal Cancer on July 23rd. Only 5 short weeks after her diagnosis, Katie was taken from us too soon on August 28th.

Her cancer went undetected for months, even after numerous doctor visits, MRI scans, and PET scans. The form of cancer that she had is very rare and has little research. The source of her cancer was not found until after her passing. We are joined, and will continue to join, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance to help raise awareness and support new research as well as the families who are experiencing this terrible disease.
